What makes Ross truly special is our Ross fRAMily – the strong connection between our schools, our families, and this amazing community. Today, I have the honor of celebrating three staff members who have embodied The Ross Experience and have helped shape the Ross fRAMily for a collective 70 years of influence in Ross across their careers in education. I want to congratulate each of them on their upcoming retirement and thank them for their immeasurable impact as RLSD staff members and as members of the Ross community.

Mrs. Bolin has been a foundational part of our district for almost 20 years during her 35-year career in education, holding various roles in teaching, coaching, and administration. As we transition to moving our 4th and 5th-grade students back to the elementary and middle schools, the district will be reducing an administrative position with Mrs. Bolin’s retirement. We thank her for her years of service and for the lasting impact she has made on our staff and students' lives across multiple buildings and programs.

Mr. Perry’s impact on our district is truly profound. With 38 years in education, 30 of those at Ross and 25 specifically as the leader of Morgan Elementary, Mr. Perry has had an impact on thousands of staff, students and families. His decades of leadership have defined the culture of Morgan, and we are forever grateful for his dedication. We will be posting the Morgan Elementary Principal position in the near future and are committed to finding the best candidate to continue the legacy Mr. Perry leaves behind.

Mr. Saylor has been a pillar of leadership during his 32-year career in education, including 22 years at RMS, and it is almost impossible to imagine RMS without his steady guidance. We are forever grateful for his decades of leadership and the legacy he leaves behind. Because of proactive planning that began last summer, we are excited that Jason Rettinger has had this year of transition and will be the sole Principal at RMS next year. We will be posting the RMS Assistant Principal position in the near future with the goal of finding someone who is committed to continuing the mission Mr. Saylor championed and joining the RMS team.

Our leadership team has been working diligently to ensure the transition of our 4th and 5th-grade students is well-planned and handled with the utmost care. Every decision we make keeps the best interests of our students at heart, focusing on a smooth and positive experience for every child. This move marks a return to the successful model our district thrived under before the opening of RIS, as we bring these grade levels back to our elementary and middle school buildings.

With 4th and 5th-grade students moving back to their respective buildings, Elda Elementary has more available space than Morgan Elementary. For this reason all Preschool classes will transition to Elda next year. While the location is changing, our commitment to excellence remains the same. Families can expect the same dedicated staff and the same wonderful experience that defines our preschool program, simply in a new home at Elda Elementary School.

We are excited to share that online Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now open! We are proud to offer a half-day option, as well as a tuition-based full-day option. Please note that our full-day kindergarten classes fill up quickly, so we encourage families looking to enroll in that program to do so as soon as possible. If your child will be 5 years old on or before August 20, 2026—the first day of the upcoming school year—they are eligible to enroll.
