As we continue Teacher Appreciation Week, Ross Local Schools is proud to recognize a group of outstanding individuals whose work is essential to the success of our schools each and every day.

Our annual Support Staff of Excellence recognition honors those who go above and beyond in their roles—supporting students, assisting teachers, and ensuring our buildings run smoothly. These individuals are nominated by their building leaders for the meaningful difference they make across our district.

Recently, our administrative team had the privilege of visiting each building to surprise these exceptional staff members in their workspaces and classrooms. During each visit, principals shared heartfelt nomination letters, recognizing the dedication, care, and consistency these individuals bring to their roles, followed by well-deserved applause, celebration, and the presentation of a certificate of excellence.
These moments of recognition reflect the appreciation we have for the people who often work behind the scenes—but whose impact is seen and felt throughout our schools every day.

• Brooke Baird, Attendance & Financial Administrative Assistant – Ross High School
  Selected as Ross Local Schools’ nominee for the Ohio Support Staff Member of the Year
• Teresa Daniel, Paraprofessional – Ross Intermediate School
• Lisa Ellinghausen, Paraprofessional – Ross Middle School
• Aaron Polk, Paraprofessional – Elda Elementary School
• Holly Gentry, Front Office Administrative Assistant – Morgan Elementary School

From working directly with students to supporting daily operations, each of these individuals plays a vital role in creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

Looking Ahead: Board Recognition & State Nomination

All honorees will be formally recognized at the upcoming May Board of Education meeting, and we invite our families and community members to join us in celebrating their achievements.

We are especially proud of Brooke Baird, who has been selected as Ross Local Schools’ nominee for Ohio’s Support Staff Member of the Year recognition. We will be cheering her on as she represents our district at the state level.
