Ross FFA Students Continue Annual Ride Your Tractor to School Tradition

Ross Local School District’s annual Ride Your Tractor to School Day once again brought together tradition, community pride, and student leadership in a way that only Ross can.
Each year, seniors involved in the Ross FFA program proudly drive their tractors to campus, transforming the school parking lot into a celebration of agriculture, hard work, and the strong roots that continue to shape our community. Throughout the day, students from across the district had the opportunity to visit the tractor lineup, learn more about the equipment, and celebrate a tradition that has become a meaningful part of the Ross experience.
While the event is certainly exciting and memorable, it also reflects something deeper about our schools and community. At Ross Local Schools, we believe in providing students with opportunities to connect what they are learning in the classroom to real-world experiences, leadership, and future career pathways. Through organizations like FFA (Future Farmers of America), students develop skills in leadership, agriculture, communication, service, and teamwork while building connections that extend far beyond graduation.
Ride Your Tractor to School Day also serves as a reminder of the important role agriculture continues to play in our community and the pride many Ross families have in that heritage. From students waking up before sunrise to prepare their tractors, to classmates gathering throughout the day to admire them, the event reflects the strong school-family-community connection that continues to make Ross a special place to learn and grow.
Thank you to our Ross FFA students, advisors, families, and community members who continue to make this annual tradition possible and meaningful for our students.
